After 11 amazing seasons, the curtain has come down on one
of the most loved shows of all time. Frasier, the fussy psychiatrist has
entertained us all with his skewed (but always endearing) take on life. Joined
by his equally snobby brother Niles, his dad Martin, Ros and Daphne, the show
set a high-brow standard for its comedy, and never waivered.
Originally a character on Cheers, Frasier came into his own when he moved to
Seattle, and his own show. Frasier ran for 11 seasons, and picked up a record
37 Emmys, including 4 each for Kelsey Grammer and David Hyde Pierce, who played
the Crane brothers.
Kelsey Grammer was briefly the highest-paid TV star ever, achieving a salary of
$1.6 million per episode for the last two seasons; his record was surpassed by Ray Romano
within a year.
